Ravens HC John Harbaugh says it’s ‘pretty remarkable’ team clinched playoffs with two games remaining

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is proud of his team for making the playoffs

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16 by the final score of 17-9. With their victory combined with the New England Patriots loss, the Ravens have clinched a spot in the playoffs.

While head coach John Harbaugh was at the podium postgame, the Ravens clinched their playoff spot, with him not being aware of it until he was asked. He mentioned that he was very proud of his team’s accomplishment, saying it was “remarkable” that the team clinched with two games remaining.

“Oh, OK. It feels great. Yes, great. Congratulations to our guys; to clinch the playoffs with two games left is pretty remarkable. It’s not done too often, and it’s something to be really proud of. I’m really happy with that. It will probably sink in tonight later.”

The Ravens will need a healthy Lamar Jackson if they want to get far in the playoffs, but for now they’ll look to string together wins. The offense has been struggling since the bye week, but the running game has improved with the return of J.K. Dobbins.  With the return of a dominant running game, Jackson’s skillset could be the difference on offense for the team.
