Ravens given close to failing grade for 2023 offseason moves by Bleacher Report

The Ravens were given close to a failing grade for their 2023 offseason moves so far by Bleacher Report

The Baltimore Ravens haven’t been very active over the course of the 2023 offseason, which has hindered their ability to truly round out all of the holes on their roster. While the team did sign wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor, the cornerback position still remains a need, as do a few other positions.

When giving out grades for every NFL team for their 2023 offseason moves so far, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report gave Baltimore an almost failing mark with a D- grade. When explaining why, Knox didn’t seem to be a fan of the Beckham signing, with the only saving grace in his eyes being that quarterback Lamar Jackson hasn’t forced his way out of the Ravens’ organization yet.

“However, it feels like they overpaid for a 30-year-old receiver who didn’t play in 2022 because of his second torn ACL. Baltimore may have done it in an effort to entice Jackson—who has long been saddled with underwhelming receiving corps—to sign. It’s a risky play, given the quarterback’s tenuous relationship with the franchise…The fact that Jackson hasn’t actually forced his way out of Baltimore yet is the only thing keeping this from being a failing grade.”
