Ravens fans are hoping for Terrell Suggs’ return after release from Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals released veteran linebacker Terrell Suggs on Friday.

The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday afternoon that 37-year-old linebacker Terrell Suggs, a 7-time Pro Bowler who spent his entire career with the Ravens before signing with the Cardinals this year, has been released. Suggs will go on waivers until Monday, and he could be an attractive option to playoff contenders looking to add depth at linebacker and a veteran locker room presence late in the season.

Suggs will be a bargain for any team that claims him, and given his history, Ravens fans are hoping he’ll be able to rejoin the team and go out the way Ray Lewis did in 2012 – as a Super Bowl champion. The Ravens have the best record in the NFL, however, and are currently last in the waiver order, so Baltimore will have to wait and see if any team ahead of them claims Suggs.
