The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday afternoon that 37-year-old linebacker Terrell Suggs, a 7-time Pro Bowler who spent his entire career with the Ravens before signing with the Cardinals this year, has been released. Suggs will go on waivers until Monday, and he could be an attractive option to playoff contenders looking to add depth at linebacker and a veteran locker room presence late in the season.
We have released LB Terrell Suggs.

Suggs will be a bargain for any team that claims him, and given his history, Ravens fans are hoping he’ll be able to rejoin the team and go out the way Ray Lewis did in 2012 – as a Super Bowl champion. The Ravens have the best record in the NFL, however, and are currently last in the waiver order, so Baltimore will have to wait and see if any team ahead of them claims Suggs.
Terrell Suggs had started all 13 games for the Cardinals this season, recording 5.5 sacks and 4 FF. If a team were to claim him on Monday, it would owe Suggs $353K for his final two weeks of salary for this season.

Now that ARZ cut Terrell Suggs, should the Ravens try to bring him home?
Heck yes! That’s Ray Lewis “last ride” kind of stuff.
Do the Ravens have the cap space? Yes. He’d only cost ~$700K.
Would he make it to the Ravens as the last team in the waiver claim order? Ehhhhh😬😬😬

The answer is yes.
Suggs is subject to waivers, but the @Ravens should put in a claim.
He'd provide value as a situational pass rusher.
But he'd be even more valuable as a motivator.
If he ended up with the #Ravens, it'd feel ALOT like a Ray Lewis "last ride" situation. https://t.co/PiYH5km9Cs

I think I would legitimately cry if the #Ravens somehow got Suggs back home.

Dean Pees once said “nobody is smarter than Terrell Suggs”. Would be shocked if they didn’t put in a waiver claim considering the lack of quality depth at the position. https://t.co/GLUydOTUY6
