Ravens’ coach John Harbaugh has high praise for the Browns attack oriented defense

Baltimore is set to host Cleveland in another AFC North showdown in Week 10, and even with star power at the quarterback position, Sunday will be about two aggressive and athletic defensive units.

The Browns (234.8) have the No. 1 ranked defensive unit in the NFL, and their opponent for this weekend is close on their heels with a No. 2 ranking (262.2), and playmakers at all three levels of defense.

During his weekly session with the media, head coach John Harbaugh was complimentary of Jim Schwartz’s dynamic unit, led by the bold, and destructive Myles Garrett.

“[They’re] very aggressive. They’re very attack oriented. They’re kind of the mindset of a puncher, they come out swinging, [and they’re] downhill at every level – tight coverage all the way up to linebackers, downhill versus the run, defensive line up field – that’s kind of their way. They understand who they are, [and] they play well, very hard.”

Overall, the Browns have allowed just 1,878 yards this season, the fewest by a Browns team through the first nine weeks and the fewest in the NFL in 2023.

On the season, the Browns have limited opponents to 27-of104 (26.0) on third down, and the 26 third-down conversions are the fewest allowed in the league.
