Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey discusses different members of Baltimore secondary

Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey discussed the new and returning members of the team’s secondary

The Baltimore Ravens have gone through a few days of organized team activities, seeing many of their players return to the facility to get work in. One of those players is cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who is looking to help the team’s secondary bounce back after a rough 2021 season.

Humphrey was asked about his impressions of some of the new players in the Baltimore secondary. The cornerback went into detail about some of his thoughts on the new faces, as well as talking about some of the returning players in the group such as Marcus Peters and Chuck Clark.

“I like it. I think ‘Pepe’ [Damarion Williams], some of the young corners we’ve got, Kyle [Hamilton], a safety … Marcus [Williams] will be here next week. I’m going to get on a call with Kyle [Fuller] today, so [I’m] excited. I’ve heard a lot about him. I’ve heard he’s a really, really smart player. So, I know, with Marcus [Peters] coming back, really smart guy, Kyle, really smart guy, Chuck [Clark] – I think that’s enough smarts where I can just play ball. (laughter) I’m really excited about some of the guys that are here, the young guys and some of the guys that will be here next week working with us.”

On paper, the Ravens have one of the best secondaries in the NFL heading into 2022. Barring any significant injuries, they should be a formidable group that opposing offense will have to look out for each and every week. The unit could have a massive turnaround considering how their 2021 season went, and there are multiple contributors that could have big seasons.
