No. 6: Derek Barnett (DE)

Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 14th pick (1st round) of the 2017 NFL Draft

Tennessee’s most recent first-rounder, Barnett notched 33 career sacks at Tennessee, breaking Reggie White’s school record. The defensive end picked up 21 total tackles and five sacks in his rookie season, as well as a critical fumble recovery in Super Bowl LII to help defeat the New England Patriots.

2018 was hampered by injuries, but Barnett returned with a career-high 30 total tackles, 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 2019. Although he has not quite taken the league by storm as a first round pick, Barnett’s career has come along nicely and he should be an important piece of the Eagles’ defensive front moving forward.
