No. 2: Alvin Kamara (RB)
Selected by the New Orleans Saints with the 67th pick (3rd round) of the 2017 NFL Draft
Kamara’s time at Tennessee showed flashes of his elite abilities as a running back, but was also often underused. The Saints were able to wait until the third round to take Kamara, and he quickly developed into one of the NFL’s most exciting players.
Despite splitting carries with Mark Ingram during his rookie season, Kamara racked up 728 rushing yards, 826 receiving yards and 14 total touchdowns to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Kamara has developed as the main man in the New Orleans backfield, and although his production slightly dipped in 2019, he remains one of the elite running backs in the league.
