Ranking the top quarterbacks in college football for 2023

After ranking the quarterbacks in each Power Five conference, we put together our overall top 25 passers following spring ball.

Quarterbacks get a large majority of the headlines in the game of college football. That is for good reason, without a good signal-caller leading your team, there isn’t much hope for a successful season without elite players on both sides of the ball carrying the load.

Fortunately for college football fans nationwide, plenty of good to great quarterbacks are suiting up every Saturday. Last season the group was led by Bryce Young, Hendon Hooker, C.J. Stroud, Caleb Williams, and plenty more. While the first three listed are now in the NFL, Williams will be the headliner for the quarterbacks in 2023 after winning the Heisman Memorial Trophy for his efforts last season.

The Pac-12 as a whole might have the best collection of gunslingers ready to lead their team to prominence in 2023. There are also plenty of quarterbacks that didn’t make our way-too-early list for the top 25 quarterbacks due to not having much playing experience.

While I fully expect this list to change once the games start, we put together our power rankings for all quarterbacks at the FBS level.
