UGA Wire reveals its number five game on the list of Georgia football wins this decade

In honor of the start of 2020 Wednesday, we decided to put together a list of the Top 10 Georgia football wins from the past decade.

We know you’ve been anticipating our Top 5 so let’s get this thing going. Coming in at No. 5 on the list is actually a duo of games which we will rank under one category, the Notre Dame series.

The Bulldogs traveled up to South Bend in 2017 for a 20-19 victory over the Irish, which helped spark the Jake From era in Athens and a season that saw wins over every rival and the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners in Pasadena.

Here’s some highlights from the game that really kicked off the Fromm and Smart era in the Classic City.

Now, let’s talk about the 2019 edition of this historic series. Though the sequel didn’t end in as much optimism as Bulldog fans had hoped, the hype around the game in Athens was like no other. College Gameday came to town, CBS broadcast the game and Sanford Stadium showed off brand-new LED lights.

The atmosphere in Athens on September 21st was unmatched and for those lucky enough to attend, it’s a game you’ll never forget.

Here’s a glance at some of those highlights:

Wow, what a day!
