Three-time All-Star, Second Team NBA All-Defensive in 1988 and Second Team All-NBA in 1983, Williams had quite the eight-year Nets career.

Williams helped New Jersey make the NBA Playoffs five times. The one time he and the Nets made it out of the first round was in 1984, when they stunned the 1983 NBA Champions, the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Nets retired Williams’ No. 52 on April 11, 1999.
