The Big 12 conference has a plethora of solid running backs this season, but one stands at the top of the pack.
The biggest question for the Texas Longhorns this offseason was how they would replace Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson. Jonathon Brooks answered their questions.
Brooks has rushed for 722 yards in six games, averaging 6.7 yards per carry and scoring six touchdowns in the first half of the season.
Though Brooks wasn’t listed as the starter in Week 1, he embraced the role and has since received the bulk of carries.
Brooks has the best run grade according to PFF in the Big 12 and will look to continue his fantastic season as the No. 8 Texas Longhorns travel to Houston to take on the Cougars, who allow over 160 rushing yards per game.
Based on a minimum of 100 snaps, here are the top 10 running backs according to PFF.
