Ranking Texas’ offensive weapons if they land Jordan Addison

Texas’ offense could be the best in the country if this happens.

Texas Longhorns fans received incredible news on Tuesday, as the top player in the transfer portal, Jordan Addison, was on campus for an official visit.

Many are hopeful that his relationship with his former wide receivers coach, Brennan Marion, who is now at Texas, will pay dividends in landing last year’s Biletnikoff winner.

If Texas were to land Addison, the Longhorns could have the best arsenal of weapons in the country. Austin is already home to one of the most loaded running back rooms in the nation, and Addison’s addition to the wide receiver room will only strengthen an offense that ranked No. 47 in total offense in 2021.

With all these weapons, it will essentially come down to the offensive line holding up long enough for plays to develop, and of course the quarterback play whether it be Hudson Card or Quinn Ewers.

It is safe to say Texas would have an embarrassment of riches on offense if they are able to land Addison over the likes of Alabama and USC. Here is a ranking of all of their offensive weapons based on who is the most proven and productive, including Addison.
