2. Mac Jones (+2000)
Mac Jones is a name that’s been on the roster since 2017, but only recently entered the conversation for the starting quarterback job.
The presumptive starter for 2020, Jones has only made brief appearances in his career with Alabama. He started every game after Tua went down with his hip injury during the game vs. Mississippi State.
In 11 appearances, Jones threw 97 completions for 1,503 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. Jones also recorded a win over Michigan in the 2019 Citrus Bowl.
Jones is the member of the Crimson Tide with the highest odds to win the Heisman.
It’s difficult to tell how successful Jones will be, or even is he is the starter for the entire season. He will have to perform at his best to not only maintain his starting job, but to appease an Alabama fanbase that demands excellence.
