Rams fans won’t have to wait until 5 p.m. PT on Thursday to find out their team’s schedule for the 2020 season. NFL Network is televising a schedule release special at 5 p.m. PT, but the Rams announced Wednesday that they will be releasing their schedule 30 minutes early at 4:30 p.m. PT.
According to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, who spoke to The Big Lead, this is the first time ever the league will let teams release their schedules early and individually.
“First, for the first time ever, each club may release its own game schedule on its owned and operated media platforms at 7:30 p.m. ET, 30 minutes before the NFL Network Schedule Release show begins at 8:00 p.m.,” he said.
The Rams released a hype video for their schedule release, showing highlights from last season and teasing the opening of SoFi Stadium.

You’ll notice toward the end of the video that the Rams used the ram head logo at midfield in their stadium rendering, with the L.A. mark in the end zone next to the word “Rams.” It’s a much better look than having the L.A. logo at midfield, which was in the original rendering.

The Rams have a tough schedule in 2020, including matchups with the Cowboys, Patriots, Buccaneers and Eagles, in addition to their six NFC West games.
It remains to be seen how the coronavirus might impact the schedule layout, but for now, the full 17-week slate of games will be released on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. PT.
