Rams will only face one team coming off a bye week in 2022

The Packers are the only team on the Rams’ schedule that will be coming off a bye when they face Los Angeles

There is nothing easy about the Rams’ 2022 schedule. Of their 14 opponents, 10 of them finished last season with a winning record. And that doesn’t even include the Broncos, who acquired Russell Wilson this offseason.

It’s the hardest schedule in the NFL based on opponent win percentage from last season, but there is a tiny silver lining. Looking at their 17-game slate, only one team will be coming off a bye when they face the Rams next season.

That team is the Packers, who have a Week 14 bye before hosting the Rams on Monday Night Football in Week 15. That gives the Packers a huge edge, of course, allowing them to get healthy before arguably the biggest game of the season for both teams.

J.B. Long compiled a list of every team’s game the week before facing the Rams, and in addition to the Packers being off, the Buccaneers will have extra rest after facing the Ravens on Thursday night in Week 8. Otherwise, most of the Rams’ opponents will be coming off tough matchups.

The Cardinals, 49ers, Saints, Chiefs and Chargers will all be coming off road games when they face the Rams, but the Rams won’t catch any teams on the second leg of back-to-back road games. Every home game the Rams have, their opponent will have also played a home game the week prior.
