At one point this year, the Los Angeles Rams were seen as a dark horse Super Bowl contender. In February, they had the 13th-best odds to win it all but they’ve quickly tumbled down the board after a 1-4 start to the season.
Now, they’re looking like a team that may not even make the playoffs unless they turn things around in a hurry. Entering the bye week, here are the Rams’ updated odds from BetMGM to make the postseason, win the NFC West, reach the Super Bowl and win it all.
- Playoffs: +750 ($100 bet wins $750)
- NFC West: +1600
- Reach Super Bowl: +6600
- Win Super Bowl: +15000

Those are all very long odds and while they obviously haven’t been eliminated from contention after only five games, they may need to go 10-2 the rest of the way to make any noise in the NFC.
Looking at their Super Bowl odds, only five teams are bigger long shots than the Rams: Giants (+20000), Titans (+20000), Raiders (+25000), Patriots (+50000) and Panthers (+75000). The Rams have the same Super Bowl odds as the Browns, who are an even bigger mess because of Deshaun Watson’s inability to do much of anything at quarterback.
The Rams’ playoff odds of +750 are actually longer than the Chiefs’ odds (+475) to win the Super Bowl after their perfect 5-0 start to the season. The Ravens and 49ers each have Super Bowl odds of +750, too.
As of now, the Rams’ over/under win total is 6.5 (+115 over, -145 under), so the oddsmakers don’t see them winning very many games down the stretch. The schedule doesn’t get much easier, either, with the most favorable games being against the Raiders and Patriots – and potentially a Tua Tagovailoa-less Dolphins team.
