Rams snap counts: Woods’ playing time limited, Everett barely played

The Rams switched things up on both sides of the ball Monday night.

Defense

It’s no surprise that the Rams used their three safeties often against Baltimore. Eric Weddle played every snap, Taylor Rapp came off the field for seven plays and Marqui Christian played 60%. None of the three played particularly well, but the Rams are confident in them.

Samson Ebukam got the start and was the Rams’ most effective pass rusher, but he was out-snapped by Clay Matthews and Dante Fowler Jr. Matthews had his worst game as a member of the Rams, while Fowler didn’t have much of an impact at all. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo played seven snaps on defense, too.

Michael Brockers only missed seven snaps and was one of the Rams’ best defenders in a game where the defense was dominated. Sebastian Joseph-Day continues to dominate the share at nose tackle, but Greg Gaines played more than he has all season (28 snaps). Morgan Fox rotated in on 15 plays after getting the start, and Tanzel Smart played 19 snaps.

Troy Reeder continues to get almost no playing time, seeing just one snap on Monday night. Cory Littleton never came off the field and is the only linebacker Los Angeles has confidence in right now.

Nickell Robey-Coleman only played 16 snaps as the Rams went with a more run-heavy defense with bigger bodies up front. Troy Hill and Jalen Ramsey only missed one play each.
