There was a time when Odell Beckham Jr. wanted to return to the Rams, and the Rams wanted him back in Los Angeles. That time seems to have passed, at least on Beckham’s end.
Beckham is still a free agent but is on the verge of returning from his torn ACL, so he could pick a team to sign with soon. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Beckham has narrowed his list of suitors to five teams and the Rams aren’t among them.
Beckham is considering the Cowboys, Bills, Chiefs, Giants and 49ers. Schefter did say that the Rams and Packers may have been on Beckham’s list but as they continue losing, the less likely he is to pick them.
Beckham would like to narrow his list further and pick a team by the end of the month.
The Rams and Green Bay Packers might also have been featured prominently in Beckham’s list, but as both teams fall further out of playoff contention, the less likely it is that Beckham will opt to sign with one of those franchises.
The Rams are sitting at 3-5 ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cardinals and have lost their last two games. They’re not out of it yet, but they’re in much worse shape than the five teams Beckham is looking at.
