Rams designate NT Bobby Brown III to return from IR

Bobby Brown III has been designated to return from injured reserve and will begin practicing this week

The Los Angeles Rams hope to welcome back Matthew Stafford, Ernest Jones and Rob Havenstein from injury this week when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, but they could get back a key defensive lineman, too.

The Rams announced on Monday that Bobby Brown III has been designated to return from injured reserve and has returned to practice. Brown has been out since injuring his knee in Week 5 against the Eagles on Oct. 8 and was expected to miss 5-7 weeks.

Kobie Turner has done a great job filling in and playing more snaps at nose tackle with Brown out, but there’s no doubt Los Angeles will be excited to get Brown back, with him being the biggest defender on the team.

Before going down, Brown had 13 tackles and one tackle for a loss in five games played.

The Rams now have 21 days to activate Brown from IR. If he’s not activated in that timeframe, he’ll remain on IR for the rest of the season.
