The Los Angeles Rams nearly doubled their draft pick total on Friday thanks to the NFL’s announcement of compensatory selections for several teams. According to the release, the Rams were awarded five compensatory picks.
That gives them 11 total selections in the 2024 draft, which is what Les Snead and Sean McVay were expecting to have.
Here’s a breakdown of the compensatory picks Los Angeles received on Friday:
Round 3, Pick 98
Round 6, Pick 209
Round 6, Pick 213
Round 6, Pick 217
Round 7, Pick 254
The Rams will now have one pick in the first round, one in the second, two in the third, two in the fifth, four in the sixth and one in the seventh for a total of 11.
The third-round comp pick was for the departure of Raheem Morris, who was hired as the Falcons’ head coach. The Rams will be awarded another third-round pick in 2025 for losing him, as part of the NFL’s minority coaching hire initiative.
