For the third time in the last two weeks, the Los Angeles Rams have secured an important part of their team for the foreseeable future. After extending both Jalen Ramsey and Cooper Kupp, the Rams have now locked up Robert Woods.
The Rams and Woods have agreed to a four-year extension, the team announced Friday. Woods was set to become a free agent after the 2021 season but was only making $6.8 million on his previous deal.

Woods has become one of the most consistent and reliable receivers in the league the last three years. He’s had at least 85 catches and 1,100 yards in each of his last two seasons after catching 56 passes for 781 yards in only 12 games during his first season with the Rams in 2017.
Woods got off to a good start this season, too, catching six passes for 105 yards in Week 1 against the Cowboys, seeing eight passes come his way.
The Rams drafted Van Jefferson in the second round this year, and he should be in line for the No. 3 receiver role next to Kupp and Woods in 2021. The trio could be together through 2023, which is when Jefferson’s rookie deal runs until.
