Rams among eight teams with five prime-time games in 2020

The NFL still wants the Rams on the biggest stages in 2020.

The Los Angeles Rams may be coming off a disappointing 2019 season in which they finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs, but the NFL still believes they’re a team a lot of fans want to watch. Once again, the Los Angeles Rams maxed out their allotment of prime-time games in 2020, as they’re scheduled to play five night games next season.

They’re among eight teams that will play five prime-time games.

The Rams’ night games are as follows:

  • Week 1 vs. Cowboys (Sunday night)
  • Week 6 at 49ers (Sunday night)
  • Week 7 vs. Bears (Monday night)
  • Week 11 at Buccaneers (Monday night)
  • Week 14 vs. Patriots (Thursday night)

This is the second year in a row the Rams have been scheduled to play five prime-time games. Last year, they actually played six prime-time games because their Week 16 matchup was flexed to Saturday night against the 49ers.

The same could happen in 2020 with the Rams’ Week 15 game against the Jets. It can be played on Saturday or Sunday with the time to be determined. If that game is played on Saturday night, it’ll give the Rams six prime-time games for the second year in a row.
