Raiders WR Nelson Agholor has perfect passer rating when targeted

Over five seasons in Philadelphia, Nelson Agholor was not known for his reliability. When the Raiders signed him as a free agent, Eagles fans came out of the woodwork to talk about his dropped passes. Through five games in Las Vegas, none of his reputation has shown up. In fact, quite the contrary.

Agholor has been targeted 11 times this season, catching 10 of those passes. The one pass he didn’t catch was wildly off target and Agholor actually turned defender to prevent an interception.

Of his ten catches, three of them have been for touchdowns. All of this has resulted in a perfect passer rating for Derek Carr when targeting Agholor. Making him the only receiver in the NFL with more at least 8 targets to offer a perfect passer rating.

Some of those catches have been the spectacular variety too. Including a 59-yard touchdown in the team’s big win over the Chiefs last Sunday.

Agholor has been lighting it up since his first snap. He came in the opener in relief of Henry Ruggs III and immediately caught a 23-yard touchdown. His other touchdown reception came late in the week four loss to the Bills.
