The Arizona Cardinals have the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Last year, they had the third pick, traded down to No. 12 and then moved back up to No. 6.
While many believe they have their eyes on Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., if he were to come off the board in the first three picks, they could be looking to trade back again and acquire more draft picks.
If that is the case, a pair of reams could be in play, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler — the Minnesota Vikings and the Las Vegas Raiders. Minnesota has the 13th pick and the Raiders pick 11th.
Antonio Pierce, the new head coach for the Raiders, is a fan of LSU’s Jayden Daniels, who played at Arizona State when Pierce was on the staff there.
The Vikings “did a lot of quarterback homework last offseason” and Kirk Cousins is set to hit free agency.
Going down that far might not be ideal for Arizona, but if there is a particular player they are targeting, they could do what they did last year after moving down from No. 3 to No. 12 and move up again.
Between now and the draft, there will be plenty of speculation, but this is at least something to think about.
