Raiders take Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb in final ESPN mock draft

Raiders take Oklahoma WR CeeDee Lamb in final ESPN mock draft

The day before the NFL Draft is always one of the most fun days on the league calendar. Rumors spread wild and you can feel the excitement and anticipation in the air.

While 99 percent of these rumors and predictions never come to fruition, some do come true. That is why it’s important to always consider the source. Luckily for Raiders’ fans, ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez is one of the most reliable reporters covering the NFL.

In his final mock draft for ESPN, he had the Raiders selecting wide receiver CeeDee Lamb from Oklahoma. While that is a player that the Raiders certainly appear to have a lot of interest in, it’s reassuring to hear a trusted voice confirm their interest.

If Lamb winds up being the pick for the Raiders at No. 12, he would instantly slide into the No. 1 receiver role for the Raiders. That would allow Tyrell Williams to work as the No. 2 with Hunter Renfrow in the slot. The selection of Lamb would also open up the rest of the draft for the Raiders as they could continue to throw picks at the defensive side of the ball.

With just a day to go until the NFL Draft, it does appear that Lamb is the prohibitive favorite to be the team’s selection at No. 12. And that should be music to the ears of Raiders’ fans.
