We are down to the final few days before the 2020 NFL Draft and it appears the Raiders will likely target a wide receiver at pick No. 12. And it’s also possible that Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden will have their pick of the wide receiver class with their first pick.
One of those picks could bee Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb, who has risen to the consensus WR1 in this class. Lamb would be an ideal fit in the Raiders offense as he offers size, speed and the ability to make plays after the catch.
In Dane Brugler’s final mock draft at The Athletic, he has the Raiders picking Lamb at No. 12, over the likes of Alabama receivers Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III. Take a look at Brugler’s reasoning behind the selection:
If Henderson is still available, I could easily see the Raiders going CB and then WR with their two first-round picks. But with him off the board, they get their choice of the top receiver and Lamb seems to be a great fit with his ball skills, football IQ and YAC skills.
Lamb has to be considered the favorite to be the Raiders selection at No. 12 due to his production, size and athleticism. If he ends up being the pick for the Raiders, expect him to instantly be the team’s top receiver and to produce right away with Derek Carr.
