The NFL Draft is set to begin six weeks from today and it appears that the names the Raiders are considering at pick No. 12 have been narrowed down to just a few names. The most common player mocked to the Raiders at No. 12 is wide receiver CeeDee Lamb from Oklahoma.
In a recent mock draft by Charles Davis of the NFL.com, Lamb was the pick for the Raiders despite Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs both being on the board. Take a look at Davis’ reasoning behind the selection in the first round:
This youngster makes tough catches and finds the end zone, which is exactly what the Raiders need as they begin their Vegas era. Showtime!
While Jeudy and Ruggs both over more speed, Lamb profiles the most as a true No. 1 receiver in the NFL. His ability to win with size, route running and after the catch makes him so difficult to stop, especially near the end zone.
It will be fascinating to see what the Raiders would do at No. 12 if all three of the top receivers are available. However, expect Lamb to potentially top the list given how dynamic of a player he is and his potential fit in Jon Gruden’s offense.
