The Las Vegas Raiders continue to revamp their roster this offseason as they added veterans Eric Kush, Nelson Agholor, and Nick O’Leary on Saturday. And according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, they also retained one of the best special teams players in the league, signing veteran running back Rod Smith to a one-year deal.

Smith spent the 2019 season with the Titans and the Raiders but failed to receive a single carry. His best work came on special teams, as he is a favorite of Rich Bisaccia.
Smith has experience playing both running back and fullback and makes for the ideal backup behind Josh Jacobs and Alec Ingold. He is also experienced in the receiving game, excelling as a blocker and a receiver. Smith is a quality signing who won’t produce big numbers but can wear many different hats on game day.
