The Las Vegas Raiders sport a wide receiver room with Davante Adams, one of the NFL’s best.
But the Raiders put Stefon Diggs in that same category, too.
Ahead of their visit to Buffalo to face the Bills, the Las Vegas defense is keying in on the likes of Bills quarterback Josh Allen and receiver Stefon Diggs. Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels noted how important it will be for his team to slow the duo down.
“Every play we really have to do a good job and understand who we are playing against and really playing (Allen) the right way,” McDaniels said to the team’s website. “Their skill group is very deep and talented. Obviously Diggs is one of the best receivers in the league, there’s no question about that.”
But Allen clearly showed some cracks in his game against the New York Jets in Week 1. Defensive back Nate Hobbs noted Allen’s talent, but his four turnovers in Buffalo’s 22-16 overtime loss to the Jets has the Raiders’ secondary ready to pounce for some of their own.
“He definitely–Great player, one of the best in the league, but he definitely will throw it out there. If you see it, you got to go get it. If he does give us that chance, we plan on capitalizing on it,” Hobbs said. “Most of the time if you do win that turnover margin, your team wins the game.”
