Raiders interviewed Kris Richard on Tuesday for head coach opening

After little to no news on the head coach opening last week, things are moving quicker this week for the Las Vegas Raiders.

On Tuesday, the team conducted an in-person interview with former NFL defensive coordinator Kris Richard, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Richard isn’t currently on a coaching staff and that is why he was able to be interviewed in person as opposed to a Zoom interview. Richard comes from the Pete Carrol coaching tree and could be a possible defensive coordinator option for the next head coach in Las Vegas.

While it seems unlikely that Richard will become the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, it does appear that Mark Davis and his staff are doing their due diligence on several candidates before making a decision.
