Raiders grab All-American WR Jerry Jeudy in latest CBS Sports mock

With the Senior Bowl in the books, it’s time to take a look at some mock drafts to see who the Raiders are projected to select come late April.

In a recent mock draft by Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports, the Raiders selected wide receiver Jerry Jeudy from Alabama with the No. 12 pick. Take a look at Wilson’s reasoning behind the potential pick and the fit:

Our top prospect coming into the 2019 season, Jeudy was good, just not great. It’s not entirely his fault; he played alongside Henry Ruggs and DeVonta Smith, two first-round-caliber wideouts, and despite lower production there’s still no denying his dynamism. Which is why he makes a ton of sense for the Raiders, who currently lack a consistent downfield playmaker outside of tight end Darren Waller.

Over the last two seasons, Jeudy totaled nearly 2,500 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide. While he may lack the ideal size to be a No. 1 receiver, everything about his game would fit in Jon Gruden’s offense

If the Raiders are looking to add more speed at receiver as well as a proven target who can create instant separation for Derek Carr, Jeudy should be the top receiver on their list. Consider him one of the few players the Raiders could select at pick No. 12.
