The Raiders are going to draft a receiver in the first round. That much is sure. It’s their most significant need and the talent level in this draft matches that hole on the roster. However, predicting what receiver they may target in the first round has been difficult.
However, with the help of BetMGM, we may know which way the Raiders are leaning. According to their odds, the Raiders are the favorites (+350) to draft Lamb in the first round. His current over/under for draft position sits at 12.5, right where the Raiders pick.
Of the receivers most frequently mentioned in connection with the Raiders, Lamb makes the most sense. He has the size, speed and catch radius to thrive in Jon Gruden’s offense. And he’s arguably the best receiver in the class with the ball in his hands as he is dynamic in the open field.
Lamb also has the fewest question marks considering he tested as an above-average athlete and doesn’t have any major injury concerns leaving college. He was a massive producer in the Big 12 and he’s one of the youngest players in the entire draft.
If Lamb is available at pick No. 12 for the Raiders, don’t expect Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden to pass on the former Sooner receiver.
