Most of the Player of the Year awards handed out a the NFL Honors show on Saturday night were easy to predict, but the race for Offensive Rookie of the Year went down to the wire in 2019. Raiders running back Josh Jacobs exceeded expectations and put together a great rookie campaign, rushing for 1,150 yards – good for eighth on the NFL rushing list – and seven touchdowns. He entered the weekend as the betting favorite to win, but No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray pulled off the upset – and the voting results weren’t particularly close.
Murray received 26.5 first-place votes, according to Dov Kleiman, doubling Murray’s first-place vote total to run away with the OROY award. Murray finished his season with 3,722 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and 544 rushing yards.
Raiders fans are not taking the news very well.

#RaiderNation vs The World
• Josh Jacobs snubbed from OROY
• Tom Flores snubbed from HOF
• Cliff Branch snubbed from HOF
• Refs erroneously stop clock vs JAX
• Antonio Brown quits before first gameAnd that’s just this year. What else am I missing?pic.twitter.com/Ys04HDrG6l

Josh Jacobs not winning Offensive Rookie of the year is laughable.
Congrats to Kyler Murray in all but c’mon man…
I didn’t realize the NFL refs do the voting for these types of awards.

Never in my life have I been as angry as I am now I’m tired of the Raiders players being robbed of what they deserve! The race for OROY shouldn’t have been close w/Josh Jacobs taking the award. If Al Davis could do it he would rise from the dead right now and take care of business

AJ Brown, Josh Jacobs, DK Metcalf and Deebo Samuel all had better rookie seasons than Kyler Murray and you won’t convince me otherwise.
Not particularly close either #NFLHonors

It’s alright.
Josh Jacobs will have the last laugh when he’s MVP next year.
Yeah. I went there. #RaiderNation pic.twitter.com/ND5uVz5W1U
