Raiders fans are furious that Josh Jacobs didn’t win offensive rookie of the year award

Kyler Murray beat out Josh Jacobs and was named the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year.

Most of the Player of the Year awards handed out a the NFL Honors show on Saturday night were easy to predict, but the race for Offensive Rookie of the Year went down to the wire in 2019. Raiders running back Josh Jacobs exceeded expectations and put together a great rookie campaign, rushing for 1,150 yards – good for eighth on the NFL rushing list – and seven touchdowns. He entered the weekend as the betting favorite to win, but No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray pulled off the upset – and the voting results weren’t particularly close.

Murray received 26.5 first-place votes, according to Dov Kleiman, doubling Murray’s first-place vote total to run away with the OROY award. Murray finished his season with 3,722 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and 544 rushing yards.

Raiders fans are not taking the news very well.
