Raiders face four of NFL’s top 10 running backs in 2020 and we ranked them all

If you hope to be the best, you have to beat the best. We know the Raiders will face the best quarterback in the NFL twice next season. How about the running backs?

Thursday NFL executives voted on who they think are the top ten running backs in the NFL. Josh Jacobs was ninth on that list. Also on it were four back who the Raiders will have to try and stop this season. But they aren’t the only talented backs. So, let’s rank all the backs the Raiders face from 1-25, starting with the four as ranked in the top ten by NFL execs.

1. Christian McCaffrey, Panthers (2)

Though league executives listed him as the second-best running back in the league behind Saquon Barkley, McCaffrey has a case for the best back in the league. He just completed a season in which he had 2,392 yards from scrimmage and 19 combined touchdowns. And it earned him a huge payday.

2. Alvin Kamara, Saints (4)

Like McCaffrey, Kamara is a double threat. He has consistently been as much of a weapon in the passing game as he is in the run game. His 1330 yards from scrimmage last season was actually a down year for him.

3. Nick Chubb, Browns (7)

Chubb’s 1,494 rushing yards were the second-most in the league last season behind only Derrick Henry. And he averaged over five yards per carry to do it. Honestly, seventh seems too low for Chubb.
