There weren’t many players who had a strong performance in Week 3 for the Raiders. Their defense couldn’t stop the run and the offense made far too many mistakes when in scoring positions.

However, the one player that did have a strong outing was starting cornerback Travyon Mullen. According to Pro Football Focus, Mullen allowed just one catch for eight yards on Sunday despite being targeted four times. He finished the game allowing a passer rating of 39.6 and was the No. 2 ranked cornerback in the NFL this week.

Mullen has quickly turned into one of the team’s best defenders and often has the tough assignment of guarding the opponent’s best receiver. While Damon Arnette has had his own struggles to begin his career, Mullen’s play has been stellar to start the season.

With a tough opponent in Week 4, Mullen will likely draw Stefon Diggs when the Raiders host the Bills. If Mullen can win that matchup, the Raiders will have a fantastic shot to steal that game against a 3-0 opponent. Look for that matchup to be one of the best in Week 4 as Mullen is emerging into a star.
