The Atlanta Falcons are hoping to have two of their biggest stars back in time for this Sunday’s NFC South matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Wide receiver Julio Jones and running back Todd Gurley were both held out of the Falcons’ Week 12 win over the Raiders.
Talking to the media on Wednesday, head coach Raheem Morris confirmed that Jones and Gurley would practice but in a limited capacity, per team reporter Kelsey Conway.

As for left guard James Carpenter, who left Sunday’s game with a groin injury, Morris said he wouldn’t practice today. Atlanta’s third-round pick, OL Matt Hennessy, could be in line to make his first start if Carpenter doesn’t get on the field before Friday.
Check back Wednesday afternoon for the team’s first official injury report of the week.
