The Bills made their re-signing of offensive lineman Quinton Spain official on Monday. A short time later, the contract details were announced.
Via NFL reporter at The Houston Chronicle Aaron Wilson, we know a little bit more about Spain’s new deal with the Bills. The 28-year-old landed a three-year, $15 million deal with the Bills in total
A nice chunk of those is guaranteed as well. $4.5 million comes via guaranteed money over the course of the deal and Spain gets a $1.4 million signing bonus. On the fifth-day of the league year, he’ll also land a $1.4 million roster bonus, which is essentially more guaranteed money because the fifth day of the league year is March 23. The Bills aren’t going to be cutting him by next Monday.
Also worth noting, Spain’s base salary will be an ascending one. That’ll be $2.25 million in 2020, before moving up to $3.9 million and $4.15 million over the 2021 and 2022 seasons, respectively. The remainder of the $15 million total will come via workout bonuses and other roster bonuses:
