In their latest win over the Florida Gators, the Texas Longhorns offense looked unstoppable. While they got contributions throughout the roster, Quinn Ewers set the tone. As the Longhorns offense looked unstoppable Ewers, had arguably one of his best games of his career.
On Saturday afternoon, the Texas native completed 19 of his 27 passes for 333 yards. He averaged 12.3 yards a throw and did not turn the ball over once. The Longhorns star also added five touchdown passes to his resume, one shy of the school record, before giving way to Arch Manning with a win secured.
While the Longhorns were favored heading into this matchup, the win also served as a confidence boost for Ewers, who was briefly benched two games ago after returning from an abdominal injury.

“Who wouldn’t be confident after that performance by the whole offense?” Ewers told reporters postgame. “I’m just trying to get the ball in the playmakers hands, and they make all the plays.”
Following his latest masterpiece, Ewers is on pace to set new career highs in a few notable categories. He only needs three more touchdowns to match his career high and should end the season close to 3,000 yards passing yards, which would be the second-highest total of his career.
With only three games left in the regular season, Ewers will be focused on putting his team in the best position to succeed. On Saturday, he provided a reminder of just how good he can be when the Longhorns needed a big game from their star quarterback.
