On Saturday afternoon, the Texas Longhorns recorded their second win of the season in dominating fashion over Michigan. The offense, led by Quinn Ewers and Jake Majors, looked unstoppable, scoring more than 30 points for the second straight game. Against a top-10 defense, Ewers completed 24-of-36 passing attempts for 246 yards. He added three passing touchdowns to his resume and continued to thrive on the road. As Ewers lit up the stat sheet, he had the help of an elite offensive line led by Majors. In the Longhorn’s win, the Prospect, Texas native was the highest-graded offensive lineman for the Longhorns. He was named the league’s Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week, becoming the second Texas player to win the award this season.

After a successful road trip, Texas will return home this weekend to face UTSA on Saturday at 6 p.m. To build on their success, they will need another big outing for Ewers, who already has 506 passing yards this season. With Majors in the lineup, he will be in good hands.

While the season is only two weeks old, the Longhorns have already been a popular team in the SEC weekly awards. That should continue, as this team has shown it can be one of the best in college football. Ewers and Majors latest recognition was another example of why.
