QB Kyler Murray off injury report; LB De’Vondre Campbell sits on Wednesday

LB De’Vondre Campbell was among the six Cardinals who didn’t practice on Wednesday.

The Arizona Cardinals kicked off their week of practice in Week 14 to prepare for the New York Giants. On Wednesday, they released their first injury report of the week.

The first thing of note is that quarterback Kyler Murray no longer is listed. The shoulder that had him on the injury report the last two weeks is no longer an issue.

They did, though, have six players who did not practice. Receiver DeAndre Hopkins was given the day off as is normally the case on Wednesdays. However, receiver Larry Fitzgerald apparently had a full practice after coming off the COVID list. He typically is given the day off on Wednesdays but did not this week.

Starting inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell did not practice, listed with an ankle injury. That could give rookie Isaiah Simmons some playing time this week.

Safety Jalen Thompson (ankle) also did not practice and head coach Kliff Kingsbury already ruled him out for Sunday’s game.

Cornerback Johnathan Joseph (neck), defensive tackle Domata Peko (knee) and safety Charles Washington (groin) also sat out Wednesday.

Rookie defensive linemen Leki Fotu and Rashard Lawrence were both limited. Lawrence si still dealing with the calf injury that had him on injured reserve. Fotu was listed for both his ankle and his hip.

Did not participate:

  • WR DeAndre Hopkins (rest)
  • S Jalen Thompson (ankle)
  • LB De’Vondre Campbell (ankle)
  • DT Domata Peko (knee)
  • CB Johnathan Joseph (neck)
  • S Charles Washington (groin)

Limited participation:

  • DL Leki Fotu (ankle, hip)
  • DL Rashard Lawrence (calf)
