Puff Johnson schedules another visit as recruitment goes on

Former UNC basketball forward Puff Johnson has another visit scheduled in his recruitment.

Former UNC basketball forward Puff Johnson is taking steps to find his new home this spring. After it was reported that Johnson would take a visit to Butler this past week, he now has his second visit scheduled.

Per Jon Rothstein, Johnson is set to visit Penn State.

It’s a visit that makes a lot of sense for the forward. He’s a Pennsylvania native and getting close to home could be a big draw. Penn State showed some interest in Johnson in his original recruitment but never offered. Now, they have the chance to add a forward to their roster, which was one of the best in the Big Ten a year ago.

Johnson spent three seasons at North Carolina after committing as a four-star prospect.

In 2022-23, Johnson averaged 4.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game while shooting 38.7 percent from the field. He also saw an uptick in minutes per game, averaging 15.9 minutes per game.
