Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama (Miami Dolphins)
Many considered Tagovailoa to be the best quarterback preparing to start his NFL career in 2020 until Burrow hit a major upswing and ascended to stardom.
Tagovailoa, a prospect with rare physical gifts, isn’t far behind him, though. Now, college football’s all-time passing efficiency leader has the chance to show he can provide a spark on offense for the Dolphins.
Past injury issues aside, there’s a lot to like about Tagovailoa. His ability to evade pressure and make his own plays with his legs is impressive, and he’s got good touch and knows how to make things happen in chaos.
Despite his success in college and what he brings to the table, it would be surprising to see Tagovailoa take the starting job from veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, simply because of the difference in experience levels and the lack of a preseason to get the correct amount of preparation.
Still, Tagovailoa looks like a quarterback who can take the reins as a starter sooner rather than later and has all he needs in his toolbox to do so.
