Projected 2024 NFL Draft order: It’s Bears-Commanders-Patriots at the top

All the Patriots’ losing couldn’t lock in a top two pick — and a guaranteed shot at a franchise QB.

The 2023 NFL regular season is over. That means we know what the top half of the 2024 NFL Draft will look like.

It’s bad news for the New England Patriots, whose inept 4-13 season may not have been enough to secure a top tier quarterback in this April’s draft. The top two picks, which may be used on USC passer Caleb Williams and UNC signal caller Drake Maye in some order, belong to the Chicago Bears (thanks to last year’s Bryce Young trade with the Carolina Panthers) and the Washington Commanders.

That means the Patriots might be stuck with a veteran retread behind center — one who could be throwing to Marvin Harrison Jr. or Rome Odunze. There’s plenty to dissect behind those top three picks; here’s the 2024 NFL Draft order following the conclusion of the 2023 regular season.
