The Boston Celtics are set to square off with a much more potent version of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday than they have for several years, the Cavs having dealt for Utah Jazz star guard Donovan Mitchell to supercharge what had been a dangerous if not lethal squad previously.
To make it even more challenging, the team will have to do it with thin frontcourt depth with several big men hurt or suspended, with Cleveland still an especially large team even after trading away some of their taller players to land Mitchell. A frontcourt anchored by rising forward Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen will have to fall on the shoulders of Al Horford, Luke Kornet, and Blake Griffin.
