Presidents Cup: Day 2 schedule and how to watch

Can Team USA overcome a 4-1 deficit from Day 1?

Despite the brilliance of team captain Tiger Woods, who earned Team USA its first point in the 2019 Presidents Cup, the American team fell in a huge hole during Day 1 of the competition in Australia, losing four of five matches to the International team.

Play will resume on Friday in Melbourne, Australia – Thursday night in the United States – with five foursomes matches. Woods will return to the course with playing partner Justin Thomas, but the captain has switched up a few of his other pairings and brought two players off the bench.

If you’re unfamiliar with the different formats used in golf’s team events, foursomes is a two-on-two competition where players on each team alternate shots.

Team International leads Team USA 4-1 through one day of play.

Televised coverage of the Presidents Cup will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. You can stream the Golf Channel online via NBC Sports Live, or via fuboTV.
