Premier League fan Aaron Judge brought the badge kiss to baseball

The American League home run king is also a noted soccer fan

Aaron Judge has transported the badge kiss celebration from soccer to baseball.

After hitting a key home run for the New York Yankees against the Cleveland Guardians in Game 5 of the ALDS, Judge was seen in the dugout kissing the Yankee logo on his jersey.

The Yankees would go on to win the game 5-1, advancing to the ALCS to face the Houston Astros.

When asked about the logo kiss after the game, Judge said the celebration came directly from his Premier League fandom.

“I’ve been watching a lot of Premier League soccer games. I see those guys doing it, so it was in the moment,” Judge said.

Judge’s badge kiss set off plenty of speculation around his future with the Yankees, as the American League single-season home run king gets set to become a free agent in the offseason.

Yankee fans may not want to get too excited over Judge’s celebration, though. As we’ve seen in the Premier League, kissing a badge doesn’t necessarily mean a player will be with that team for life.
