Predictions for No. 13 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Houston Cougars

Sooners Wire staff predicts this week’s matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Houston Cougars.

Oklahoma improves to 2-0 on the season with a sound win over Houston.

The defense is excellent again, forcing multiple turnovers and keeping the Cougars out of the end zone. Some of the younger players on that side of the ball get to play again in the second half, and just like last week, they are impressive.

Offensively, it’s another pretty vanilla game plan from Seth Littrell, but [autotag]Jackson Arnold[/autotag] is able to execute it again with efficiency. He throws multiple touchdowns to [autotag]Deion Burks[/autotag], and the speedy receiver has another excellent game.

OU gets on track a bit more in the running game, but fans will be clamoring for [autotag]Taylor Tatum[/autotag] once again after he leads the team in rushing for the second straight week, doing most of his damage against the backups.

We’ll leave Saturday night with lingering questions along the offensive line, but someone will step up at the WR depth positions to ease some of those concerns. Expect another strong game from TE Bauer Sharp.

Another easy night for the Oklahoma starters before Tulane presents a tougher test next week.

Sooners 45, Cougars 6
