Predicting the starting defense for the 2020 Washington Redskins

We know that the Washington Redskins defense is stacked with depth, but who will end up getting the nod to start come Week 1?

And now to the secondary:

CB — Kendall Fuller

Fuller is returning to Washington with more experience than he left with, and a Super Bowl ring now in his possession. The Redskins have a major hole to fill at the CB position, and Fuller is one of the best players they could add to fill it.

FS — Sean Davis

The Redskins released FS Montae Nicholson this offseason, making way for Davis to take over as the starter. Davis is a homegrown kid who grew up idolizing Sean Taylor and the Redskins, so I expect him to make the most of his opportunity here.

SS — Landon Collins

In a stacked defense, Collins might be the best player. There’s no way you’re keeping him off the field. If Thomas Davis is the leader of the front-seven, Collins is directing the secondary. They’re in great hands.

CB — Ronald Darby

Darby is on yet another prove-it deal after seeing a bunch of injuries come his way, but when healthy, he is a great player who can make a difference on defense. Though the Redskins may feel the loss of Quinton Dunbar this year, they definitely have two CBs capable of filling the void.
