Predicting how Texas’ 2023 recruiting class could shake out

Texas is the only current school with three five-star commits in 2023.

The Texas Longhorns are on the verge of potentially their best class since 2002.

Since Arch Manning’s commitment, the Longhorns have landed two other five-star recruits in addition to a host of talented players. Currently, the 2023 class totals 17 commits. They are currently the only team with three five-star commits for the 2023 class in the 247Sports composite rankings.

Texas will be involved in multiple high-profile commitments over the coming months. Recently, Anthony Hill and Malik Muhammad listed Texas in their top schools. Both players bring an elite skill-set that Texas defenses have lacked in recent memory.

The Longhorns presently have an excellent stable of receivers with Johntay Cook, Ryan Niblett, and underrated commitment Jonah Wilson. They could still add one or two more at the position. As for a second running back, Cedrick Baxter Jr. appears to be Tashard Choice’s top priority.

Texas should be heavily involved in defensive line and cornerback recruiting, having already bolstered their offensive line depth.

Here is an early look at how I believe Texas’ 2023 recruiting class could shake out.
