The NFL is in pure chaos at the moment with plenty of movement in free agency. On Wednesday, the new league year began and we saw a bevy of movements between free agents and their new teams.
No bigger news hit the wire than that of current Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who announced his intention to play for the New York Jets in 2023.
While no trade compensation has been announced, we project it will cost the Jets their No. 13 overall draft pick at the very least. They would join the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers as teams without a first-round selection.
Not to be outdone, the Chicago Bears traded down from the top spot earlier in the week, sending the No. 1 overall pick to the Carolina Panthers. With Carolina on the clock, it can address its need for a quarterback of the future.
On this Friday morning, we try to project where top college prospects will land amid the ongoing free agency period in the NFL.
